Jubilee Recommends: Randazzo’s Clam Bar in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn
Words by Jubilee
I wanted to write about Randazzo’s clam bar in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn because it is my absolute favorite restaurant in New York, and I have been going here since I was 2 years old. I used to call clams “mice” because I guess I thought they looked like mouse ears. All of the waitresses have also been there since I was 2 years old, and they are usually really rude in a funny way and will ask “what do you want,” but then call you “Sweetie” 10 minutes later. I usually get the steamed clams because again, that’s what I have been getting my whole life, but I also love their baked clams and calamari. Last time I was there, I tried one of their stuffed fish specials and it was amazing. Everyone in there looks like they are out of an old New York movie with a lot of V-necks with chest hair sticking out and gold chains. There’s also a lot of lip liner.
