Surrounded by a forest of cedar trees, this four bedroom, two and a half bath, multi-level, lakefront home is the perfect place to relax with family and friends. The house has a large living room with 20 feet high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, a wood burning fireplace and a comfortable mid-century modern sectional. There is also a well-stocked game room on the lower level with plenty of seating and a flat screen TV, DVD player, board games, XBox, pool table, dart board and poker table. The house also has a full sized kitchen with a breakfast bar and a large dining table making it perfect for group dinner parties. If you need a quiet break, you can retreat to the year-round sun room off the kitchen and curl up and do some bird watching during the day and stargazing at night (telescope provided!).
Outside the house, there is a large, wooded, private yard with tables and chairs (enough for 15!), a hammock, and a new grill and smoker. The house also comes with canoes and kayaks which you can take down to the private lakefront dock in front of the house. Access to the community’s two pools, beach, clubhouse, tennis courts, basketball courts and playgrounds is also included in the rental.
Tucked away in the private community of Sleepy Hollow Lake in Athens, NY, this rental is only 2 1/2 hours away from NYC; 20 minutes from Hudson, NY; and less than 30 minutes away from the ski resorts at Hunter and Windham Mountains.
