The Last Weekend
Get ready to get weird in the Catskills! The first installment of the experimental art, music and food event The Last Weekend is set to kick off this Friday, September 21. For three days, exploratory seekers will gather at the pure vintage Camp Lakota in Upstate New York to experience a curated line up of arts & crafts, unique music and of course good food. For those who don’t feel like tuning in, it’s also the perfect excuse to soak up the last rays of Summer on a lake enjoying cabin life, swimming, row boating, hiking and good clean fun like archery, bonfires and tie dying.
The not-your-everyday arts & crafts itinerary consists of burning down a geodosic dome, creating cyanotope photograms from the sun, and tuning into trees and hearing their messages. Full line up here: http://www.thelastweekend.org/arts-crafts/
Music programming includes a Saturday night DJ dance party and curated line ups under the titles “Experimental Greenpoint” and the “Sounds of Bushwick” so expect things to get a little cosmic. Full line up here: http://www.thelastweekend.org/music/
The varied breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks menus include provisions by Tucker Schwarz’s Pig Roast, Isa’s Fire Roasted Late Summer Stew, Cheeky Sandwiches, Three Sisters Indian Taco and more. Visit
