Cliktrips likes the beach, palm trees, mountain hikes, desertscapes, forest walks, the jungle, tropical islands, swimming pools, lake swims, rocky seaside cliffs, sunsets, soundbaths, hot tubs, the occasional cold plunge, bicycle rides, road trips, spritzes of all kinds, lots of snacks and the colors pink and green. Cliktrips also enjoys late night techno parties, balearic rooftop hangs, weird weekenders, tropical sounds, trippy disco, and dancing ‘til dawn.

Burger Joint in NYC

Burger Joint in NYC

Perhaps by now, everyone has heard of this “hidden” burger spot tucked behind the curtain in the lobby of the upscale Le Parker Meridien in Midtown Manhattan, but I still love it.

The Burger Joint is basically a greasy spoon diner type of place with old movie posters and graffiti covering the wood paneled walls.

The menu is limited to burgers, fries, sodas and beer with limited toppings for the burgers. They are also very “Soup Nazi” about how you order, so step up and tell them you want a burger with or without cheese, how you want it cooked, and what you want on it and get out of the way!  My personal favorite is a cheeseburger with “the works.”

The Burger Joint is also a great place to take out of town visitors while you’re doing tourist things in Midtown. It will blow their minds every time!

Le Parker Meridien is located at 119 W. 56th St between 6th and 7th Ave.
